How to Show Your Company's Best Side

It's a regular work day. You clock in, make some coffee and start "playing" the keyboard. During the course of your day (when you're not in meetings) you are most probably exposed to a variety of media – blog posts, emails, newsletters, social media posts and text messages – all showering you with information. Perhaps you're even involved in writing, designing or programming some of these for your company or clients.

The point I'm trying to make, is that most of us are constantly using language in a professional and personal capacity. You don't even think about reading and writing. It just happens.

Here's the problem: using language every day and using it effectively (and correctly) are two completely different things.

  • Does it sound right?

  • Is the grammar correct?

  • How about the punctuation?

  • Is it easy to read and understand?

  • Has it been checked for other mistakes?

These are all questions we should be asking ourselves before distributing any form of content, even the items that are sent in-house. The way you communicate says something about you and your brand or company. It can be an indirect – or sometimes very direct – reflection of your attitude and values.

But let's be honest – who has the time (or the interest) to think about every word we put out there?

Well... I do. It's what I do.

I can write the content that you don't have time for or go over the content that you don't feel like checking. In fact, I'm passionate and meticulous about it.
